Basic Background
When a Gridanian couple – a hearer and a carpenter – discovered they were with child, they decided to leave the confines of the Shroud and take up an itinerant life. By the time the child was born, the family'd made their way across the Old World, all the way to Blindfrost. After a brief time settled there, the family took to the road again, wending their way clockwise around the Old World once more.During that time, Aoife picked up her mother's talents for conjury and developed a keen interest in cooking the family's meals, which in turn led to her interest in natural history. Traveling Othard, Koshu, and Thavnair gave her insight into the star's myriad cultures and natural wonders, as well as the darker aspects of empires and internecine conflict.Eventually, the precocious nature of the girl's talents became undeniable, particular as she could hear the elementals' whispers even halfway across the star from their Twelveswood sanctuary. After much debate, the family decided the best thing for their daughter was to return her to the care of the Padjals to nurture her gifts. And so they made one more trek back to Eorzea, handing their daughter's education over to Stillglade Fane before taking to the road once again.Settled in one place for more than a few moons for the first time in her life, Aoife's now learning to adjust to these new circumstances. She plies her skills at conjury, botany, and cooking to find her role in this new world. And now with a bit more experience under her belt, seeks to resume her travels once again, albeit this time exploring her new Eorzean back yard and its people.

Aoife's travelled quite a bit in her life. She would've been a child or in her early teens at the time, but your character might still recognize her, distinct as a pale redhead is in Othard, Dalmasca, or Thavnair.She's backed up a few low-end adventuring parties around Gridania with her conjury. Your character might have been part of one of those.Over the winter months, she picks up work as a chef, whether for restaurants, private kitchens, or preparing and selling street food. Your character might've been served food by her, or even employed her.She's a botanist, horticulturalist, and herbalist. Your character might have sourced herbs, spices, vegetables, flowers, or remedies from her, or maybe she's solicited your character's business. Alternatively, maybe you've bumped into her in the wilderness while she's out foraging.Stillglade Fane has been a second home for her for the past couple years. Padjals or other conjurors might recognize her.Although she doesn't often wear the actual purple robes of a Hearer, she undeniably has their gift, at a strength second only to the Padjals or the most experienced of their kind. The elementals might have something to say to her related to your character.While she may not wear their purple robes often, she does still take her responsibilities as a Hearer seriously, tending to the Hedgetrees, checking in on the myriad ruins of the Shroud, nurting the forest, etc. She can easily be encountered amidst those duties.During/after the Final Days, she helped operate porxies on a few occasions. She may have met your character as a fellow operator or as a patient.While not exactly a prolific purveyor of it, she does grow moko, and occasionally sells it and related products.

Aoife's often out and about, in the field or elsewhere, so encounters elsewhere are welcome!Some moral greyness in RP partners is fine (e.g., smugglers, lawful privateers, petty criminals, scrupulous dark knights, reformed/earnestly reforming bad guys), but Aoife's not going to associate with more grossly immoral sorts of characters on a long-term basis. Short-term, though, is entirely possible! Especially if you keep the edgier stuff under your hat.
